PowerShot A60/A70 เป็นกล้องในระดับ 2 ล้านพิกเซล (A60) และ 3 ล้านพิกเซล (A70) ที่อนุญาติให้ผู้ใช้งานนั้นสามารถที่จะปรับตั้งการทำงานของตัวกล้องได้อย่างอิสระ ทั้งการปรับตั้งความไวชัตเตอร์และขนาดรูรับแสง,ระบบการวัดแสง,ค่าความไวแสง ฯลฯ เหมาะสำหรับผู้ใช้งานกล้องดิจิตอลระดับสมัครเล่นที่ต้องการจะ Upgrade กล้องให้สามารถทำงานได้หลากหลายมากยิ่งขึ้น และกล้อง PowerShot A60/A70 นั้นยังออกแบบมาให้มีระบบการทำงานที่ค่อนข้างสามารถปรับตั้งและใช้งานง่ายอีกด้วย

โหมดการถ่ายภาพที่หลากหลาย
PowerShot A60/A70 นั้นบรรจุเอาโหมดการถ่ายภาพเอาไว้อย่างครบครันถึง 12 โหมดการทำงาน ทั้งระบบการถ่ายภาพแบบแมนนวลที่ผู้ใช้งานนั้นสามารถที่จะปรับตั้งความไวชัตเตอร์และขนาดรูรับแสงได้ด้วยตัวเองในโหมด Av, Tv, และ M หรือว่าจะ เลือกใช้โหมดการถ่านภาพที่ตั้งมาให้แล้วในโหมด Lanscape,Portait,Night Scene, Slow Shutter,Fast Shutter และโหมด พาโนรามาใน Stitch Assist mode อีกทั้งยังสามารถที่จะถ่ายภาพวีดีโอพร้อมเสียงได้อีกด้วย
ระบบการพิมพ์ภาพแบบ Direct Print
PowerShot A60/A70 นั้นสามารถที่จะสั่งพิมพ์ภาพได้โดยตรงจากฟังก์ชั่น Direct Print ซึ่งเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของแคนนอน โดยที่ PowerShot A60/A70 นั้นสามารถที่จะต่อกับเครื่องพิมพ์แบบ Bubblejet รุ่น S530D หรือ S830D ได้โดยตรงและสามารถสั่งพิมพ์ภาพๆได้โดยตรงจากตัวกล้องโดยไม่ต้องใช้เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์เลย
