Phu Langka National Park
Phu Laenkha national park covers areas in Ban Khwao, Nong Bua Daeng, Kaset Somboon, and Muang district of
Chai Ya Phum district. The totally 148 square kilometers.
The 148 square kilometers park contains rugged mountains ranging 200 to 725 meters above sea level.
The forest type is dry dipterocarp, dry evergreen, mixed deciduous, and meadows.
The highest peak is Phu Laenkha at 725 meters.
Hot season usually arrives in February and ends in May or June.
June to September or October is rainy season. October to January are cool months.
Beautiful rock formations, view points, sandal wood trees, wild orchids found in the park are popular
spots for visitors.
How to get there
From Chaiyaphum town take highway 2051 northward about 6 km, and turn left (to the west) onto highway 2159
which goes to Nong Bua Daeng town. About 20 km from the turn off you will see the headquarters on the left side.
It is still roughly half way to Nong Bua Daeng.
Up to 2003 there were no equipment for rent. Visitors would need to bring own tents and gear for camping
